South Georgian Bay/Muskoka Integrated Regional Resource Plans Posted

The South Georgian Bay/Muskoka Integrated Regional Resource Plan (IRRP) reports are now available online for the Barrie/Innisfil sub-region and Parry Sound/Muskoka sub-region. The IRRPs consider electricity demand and supply conditions over the next 20 years, and identify electricity system needs specifically related to supply capacity and end-of-life.
The Barrie/Innisfil IRRP recommends a specific transmission upgrade of a new transformer station to serve the growth anticipated in the Innisfil area. Both reports recommend continued consideration of opportunities for incremental, cost-effective Conservation and Demand Management to defer medium to longer-term regional needs.
