Help for your home: Make the most of your home with Save on Energy buying guides, from what to look for when purchasing energy-efficiency windows, a new smart thermostat, a heat pump, to understanding how much insulation your home needs need to stay comfortable year round.

Help for low-income residents: Save on Energy’s Energy Affordability Program provides assistance to eligible Ontario homeowners, tenants and social and/or assisted housing providers.

Help for Ontario homeowners: The Home Renovation Program, co-delivered by Save on Energy and Enbridge Gas, provides rebates to Ontario homeowners to install a heat pump, solar panels and battery storage, smart thermostat, upgrade insulation, and more - regardless of whether they heat their home with electricity or natural gas.

Ontario residents get rewarded for using energy wisely in the summer: Save on Energy’s Peak Perks Program rewards residential electricity consumers with an existing smart thermostat for reducing their energy use when demand for electricity in Ontario is high during the summer months. Consumers who enroll in the program agree to participate in up to 10 brief, time-limited thermostat adjustments on weekdays during periods of peak electricity demand in the summer months. Participants receive a $75 virtual prepaid MasterCard® on enrollment and an additional $20 virtual prepaid Mastercard® for each subsequent year they stay enrolled starting in 2025.

Help for saving on cooling upgrades: Save on Energy’s Coolsaver Program helps homeowners and tenants tune-up and upgrade their home cooling systems to reduce their electricity consumption and energy costs in the Richview South area of Toronto, Ottawa and York Region.

 

ENERGY STAR® Canada

Updating home appliances to ENERGY STAR® certified will help reduce energy costs and increase home comfort. ENERGY STAR® certified products are available at multiple retailers across the province.
