The second cycle of regional planning cycle was completed for York Region in February 2020 and an Integrated Regional Resource Plan (IRRP) was released. A Regional Infrastructure Plan (RIP) led by Hydro One will be completed by mid-2020.
This engagement initiative provided interested parties with an opportunity to offer input for consideration into the development of the IRRP.

York Region Working Group - A Technical Working Group consisting of the local distribution companies in the region, the local transmitter and the IESO will use this regional planning engagement initiative to consider input that will identify and meet local electricity needs. The Working Group consists of representatives from the LDCs in the area – Alectra Utilities Corporation, Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd., as well as the transmitter Hydro One Networks Inc., and the IESO.
