Participants in the IESO-Administered Markets with a new or modified facility must go through the connection process steps before participating in the IESO Connected Grid (ICG) and IESO Administered Markets (IAM). Registration is an important step in the connection process and refers to both authorization and register equipment. To effectively operate the grid, IESO must have detailed information of every participating asset and load that is incorporated into our tools, and any errors in providing this information or executing IESO work could lead to ineffective or inaccurate monitoring of the power system – leading to security issues, and/or inefficient dispatch schedules to the market – impacting participants and consumers.
IESO Market Registration is proposing new registration timeline guidelines, intended to make the registration process more efficient for both the IESO and market participants.
The IESO encourages all market participants to participate in this engagement. All comments and enquiries on this engagement can be directed to engagement@ieso.ca.
