Regional Electricity Planning - GTA North (York Region)

Forecasting and Planning

Regional planning for the GTA North Region was completed in October 2025. This engagement initiative provided Indigenous communities, municipalities, customers and interested parties with an opportunity to offer input for consideration into the development of the 2025 GTA North Integrated Regional Resource Plan (IRRP).

Technical Working Group - A Technical Working Group, consisting of Alectra Utilities Corp., Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd., Hydro One Networks Inc. and the IESO will continue to stay in touch on the implementation of recommendations and timing of the next regional planning cycle.
