Notice to Market Participants with Existing Exemptions from the Market Rules

The IESO Board has approved the final alignment of the Market Renewal Program Market Rules. The IESO expects that some existing Market Rule exemptions will be required to be updated to align with Market Renewal and the associated Market Rules.
The IESO has also proposed changes to Market Manual Part 2.2 Exemptions Application and Assessments, that, if approved, will become effective in December. These proposed changes will allow Market Participants to apply for amendments to their existing exemptions. The proposed changes to the market manual can be found on the engagement page of the IESO.
The IESO encourages all Market Participants with existing exemptions to review their exemptions to determine if any amendments are required to ensure compliance with the new Market Rules.
