Successful Hydrogen Innovation Fund Projects Announced

Today, nine projects that will receive $5.9 million in support from the IESO’s Hydrogen Innovation Fund were announced. These are in addition to six projects that were announced in October, bringing the total number of funded projects to 15.
Over the next three years, these projects will be researching and testing the viability of hydrogen technologies, including the grid impact of hydrogen electrolyzers while producing fuel for other end-uses, the feasibility of blending hydrogen with natural gas to reduce emissions, the ability of hydrogen to provide grid services and the ability of Ontario’s electricity system to support the development of a hydrogen economy.
