National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Tomorrow, September 30, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. On this day, we honour survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, as well as those children who never came home. This day marks Canada’s ongoing commitment to support healing within Indigenous communities and to undertake a shared journey towards reconciliation.
The IESO continues to take tangible steps to support Indigenous Peoples and communities. Our relationships with First Nation and Métis communities and organizations are rooted in trust and transparency. Together, we have already seen how building energy capacity and leadership can yield economic, social and environmental benefits.
