New Engagement - Low-Carbon Hydrogen Strategy

At the request of the Minister of Energy, the IESO is investigating and proposing options to integrate low-carbon hydrogen technologies into Ontario’s electricity system. This work will help with balancing and strengthening the reliability of the electricity system and contributing to broader decarbonization.
As part of this project, the IESO is engaging with interested parties to inform key design considerations that will be provided in the report back to government. The IESO is particularly interested in connecting with organizations with existing or potential upcoming hydrogen projects in Ontario. These discussions will take place over the coming weeks to ensure feedback is received prior to the report back to government by the end of October.
