As our electricity system continues to evolve, municipalities are increasingly implementing their own electricity initiatives to achieve economic, environmental, and social objectives; and taking a lead role in shaping local, regional, and provincial energy futures by hosting new facilities and infrastructure to support community needs.
That’s why the IESO is pleased to attend the Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) annual policy conference, taking place in Ottawa from Aug 14-17.
On Tuesday August 16, Carla Y. Nell, Vice-President of Corporate Relations, Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation and Chuck Farmer, Vice-President of Planning, Conservation and Resource Adequacy will speak at the event about Ontario’s quickly changing electricity system and what it means for communities.
