IESO-OEB Joint Call for Proposals: Application Guidelines and Proposal Templates Available

The IESO’s Grid Innovation Fund and the Ontario Energy Board’s Innovation Sandbox are issuing a joint call for proposals, creating a one-stop shop for innovators to access project funding and regulatory assistance that will enable distributed energy pilot projects to become a reality.
The proposal intake window will be open from November 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021. To assist interested proponents in preparing their proposals, application guidelines and proposal templates are now available. This call for proposals will help increase the IESO and OEB’s understanding of distributed energy resource (DER) capabilities and speed up its integration into Ontario’s electricity system, allowing benefits to be realized faster.
Further support is also available from IESO and OEB staff to ensure potential proposals align with the objectives of the call. Contact gridinnovationfund@ieso.ca.
