IESO Signs New Leadership Accord on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

As part of the IESO’s commitment to foster inclusion, Lesley Gallinger, President and CEO, has signed the Electricity Human Resources Canada’s Leadership Accord on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Accord holds the IESO accountable for removing barriers, and making it easier for employees from diverse backgrounds to join and build rewarding careers within the electricity sector.
In signing the Accord, the IESO and other participating organizations must implement initiatives that support specific commitments and participate in a two-year review to analyze the effectiveness of their equity, diversity and inclusion practices.
The new Leadership Accord is an extension of an earlier one on Gender Diversity, which was signed by the IESO in 2018. The broader scope of the new Accord considers that the unique needs of all under-represented groups are core to fostering a workplace where all employees, regardless of difference, have the opportunity to realize their potential and to contribute fully to the workplace.
