Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge-Guelph Integrated Regional Resource Plan Posted

The Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge-Guelph (KWCG) Integrated Regional Resource Plan (IRRP) is now available. The IRRP considers electricity demand and supply conditions over the next 20 years, and identifies electricity system needs specifically related to capacity, restoration and end-of-life. Overall, electricity infrastructure is in a strong position to meet and support future growth in the KWCG region over the planning horizon, with medium-term needs expected to be most effectively addressed by low-cost technical solutions. Long-term needs present an opportunity to explore alternative solutions.
