Options to Address IESO Liability

This engagement is seeking feedback from stakeholders on two options to address IESO uninsured liability risk. One option would ensure that the IESO liability risk under the Market Rules reflects what insurance products are available in the marketplace and make it consistent with what is commonly used by other ISOs across North America. The other option would consider a means to recover losses through the market.
Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the options, which will eventually result in amendments to the Market Rules. The first session for this engagement will take place on December 16 as part of next month’s stakeholder engagement meetings.
