Generator Contract Review now available on IESO website

A third party report reviewing cost-saving opportunities in the management of targeted generation contracts is now available on the IESO website. The review is part of the Ontario government’s efforts to identify opportunities to reduce electricity costs for consumers.
The Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines directed the IESO to retain the services of a third-party consultant to review targeted generation contracts. In addition to the third-party review, the IESO also sought feedback from contract counterparties on potential cost-saving opportunities.
The potential cost-lowering opportunities have been assessed and summarized in a report that was submitted to the government. The full report, prepared by Charles Rivers Associates, can be found here.
