Generators and transmitters to submit reliability assessment forms by April 1

February 28, 2019

Generators and transmitters must provide their annual submission for the IESO's reliability assessments on or before April 1. The information is required for a period of 10 years, 6 months, July 2019 - December 2029. Submissions should be emailed to forecasts.assessments@ieso.ca.

Generators must use Form 1230 for their submission as well as for any updates, when there are material changes.

Generators whose contracts have expired, or are expiring over the period covered are reminded to provide their future plans in S1 – Part 2 (Plans for New, Modified or Retiring Facilities) and the details are to be provided in Part 2 of the appropriate tab.

Transmitters must use Form 1494.

The Calendar for Submission of Reliability Assessments Information webpage has the timelines for the submission of reliability assessments and links to forms. Please use the latest version of the forms.

Information collected through this process enables the IESO to perform reliability assessments, which are the primary tool for notifying market participants, the OEB, and the public about the adequacy of Ontario's generation and transmission resources.

For questions or concerns, please contact customer.relations@ieso.ca.
