Launch of new outage management process and tool

The new outage management process will be launched for market participants on Wednesday, October 26. The Outage Management Process Redesign project will implement the tool and process change, bringing into effect the associated market manuals and market rules.

The outage management tool will be available via the IESO Portal or at this URL: https://outages.ieso.ca. Market participants may refer to the User Guide posted on the IESO's website for detailed instructions on the new tool. The revised Market Manual 7.3: Outage Management outlines the new process and provides market participants with guidelines and procedures.

Concurrent with the implementation of the outage management tool and process, the amendments made to the relevant market rules (MR-00418 - Outage Management Process Redesign) will also come into effect as of October 26, 2016.

The IESO thanks all the stakeholders who participated in the engagement process and market trials of this initiative.
