IESO Board approves market rule amendment

March 10, 2016

The IESO Board has approved a market rule amendment at its meeting on March 9 to correct typographical errors, cross-references, un-italicize terms that are not defined, and include other general amendments which are minor in nature, such as the removal of unnecessary references to the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), and includes use of the term "former OPA" where a continued reference to the OPA is necessary. The amendments relate to a number of different areas of the market rules, and for efficiency, have been submitted as a single "omnibus" package. The effective date of this amendment is April 1.

Specific details on how the rules have been changed can be found at Minor Amendment Omnibus 2015 (MR-00424-R00).
