Resource Adequacy

In this month's Resource Adequacy webinar, items related to the Capacity Auction include beginning the discussion on transition to the use of qualified capacity/UCAP and the IESO will present initial thoughts on establishing a minimum target capacity and seek stakeholder input on considerations. Further details on the 2021 AAR will also be provided.

Improving Accessibility of Operating Reserve

An update on the status of the proposals to address the issue of inaccessible operating reserve will be provided, including changes proposed since the last webinar in March 2020. The IESO will discuss and seek stakeholder feedback on draft market rules and manuals to implement the proposed solutions as well.
