What is the Community Energy Champion Program?
The Community Energy Champion (CEC) Program provides funding support to First Nation and Métis communities and organizations to hire a designated community energy champion within their community or organization to help plan, implement and evaluate energy-related priorities.
On October 19, 2020, the IESO released updated program documents for all four Indigenous Energy Support Programs, including CEC. These programs will be open for intake until 11:59 p.m. EST on November 13, 2020 for review in December 2020.
These revised programs were developed based on feedback the IESO received through engagement. For more details on the engagement process, please see the engagement web page.
