Settlement Meter Data Applications Working Group

The IESO will be upgrading a number of Revenue Metering System (RMS) applications in the coming years. This working group is focused on gathering stakeholder input on changes to settlement meter data applications, which calculate losses, totalize data, and present final data to market participants.

Working group participation is open to all stakeholders, and will be of particular interest to representatives of market participants who are involved in revenue metering activities.

This project is intended to:

Enhance services and performance related to the settlement meter data applications
Increase capacity to handle the expected rise in the volume of meter reads over the next five years
Reduce potential of service interruptions due to aging infrastructure and vendor service limitations

The stakeholder engagement will focus on three project phases:

Design
-Stage 1: file formats, reports, and viewing/retrieving information
-Stage 2: application of losses and estimation
-Stage 3: design for viewing/retrieving information
Testing
Implementation
