This engagement update provides a snapshot of all active IESO engagement activities and is updated on a monthly basis. It helps support a greater understanding of linkages between engagements, and a foundation for more comprehensive and integrated updates.
The IESO will provide an overview of feedback received from the last engagement session and present updates regarding future enhancements. This engagement is a valuable opportunity for participants to provide final feedback prior to the IESO finalizing the proposed 2025 design enhancements on expanding participation to wind and solar, commitment management options, and the auction tie-break mechanism. Design memos will be made available prior to the engagement.
The IESO will provide an update on the scope and prioritization for the Enabling Resources Program, including the next steps on the Storage and Co-located Hybrids Project.
The IESO will provide sector participants and Ontario communities with an update on the active Bulk Planning initiatives underway. The plans to be discussed at the November session includes: South & Central and Northern Ontario.
The OMAFA will provide an overview of current policies around siting energy projects in prime agriculture areas as part of the LT2 procurement. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about prime agricultural areas and ask questions, seek clarity around the policy guidelines and will hear more about the Agricultural Impact Assessment process. This webinar will be of particular interest to future proponents of the LT2 procurement and Municipalities.
