This engagement update provides a snapshot of all active IESO engagement activities and is updated on a monthly basis. It helps support a greater understanding of linkages between engagements, and a foundation for more comprehensive and integrated updates.
To increase transparency in planning activities, and in response to feedback received through previous Annual Planning Outlooks and Annual Acquisition Reports, the IESO will provide an overview of the supply outlook scenarios being considered for the 2022 Annual Planning Outlook.
The Market Renewal Program Team will lead a discussion on implementation items including; thermal state transition, constraint violation pricing for hydroelectric units, Transmission Rights transition, and a forecast of engagement activities.
The IESO will provide an overview of feedback received through previous engagement meetings and direct facility discussions, including the evolved design considerations. The information shared in this session will include reference to the final design recommendations which will be shared with government in July.
The IESO will discuss the stakeholder feedback received following the January engagement meeting, present criteria by which options for answering the Phase I questions will be assessed, and present the initial set of options for the Foundational model.
This IESO and the consultant will present the final results of the province-wide Distributed Energy Resources Potential Study, along with insights, recommendations, and next steps on how the results will be utilized.
