Final Release Plan for changes to IESO IT systems now posted
October 19, 2017
The Final Release Plan for changes to IESO IT systems is posted under Release R38.1 on the IT Release Schedule.
There are three changes included in this release.
A revision will be made to the confidential Dispatch Advisory Report following the upgrade of the IESO’s Market Information and Day-Ahead Optimization Systems. This upgrade will allow the IESO to publish 11 critical intervals in the Dispatch Advisory Report rather than the current five intervals. The sample report and schema are now available on Pending Changes – Reports and the Sandbox version of the confidential reports will be available on the IESO Sandbox Reports Site starting November 8, 2017.
A necessary software upgrade for the IESO Report Site will result in cosmetic changes for participants logging in to the IESO Report Site to retrieve confidential reports.
Finally, the Dispatch Service will be in production in early 2018. This system will replace Message Exchange, used to give dispatch instructions to Market Participants. The two systems will work in parallel for 12 months to provide Market Participants the opportunity to switch over to the new system, in coordination with the IESO.
