This page is dedicated to the Independent Electricity System Operator’s (IESO) Renewed Market Advisory Forum (RMAF) and the ongoing effort to engage with active market participants on the renewed market.
The IESO launched the RMAF, a structured channel for market participants, and other active members of the energy sector, to share insights, identify potential concerns, and collaboratively discuss enhancements to Ontario’s electricity market on market operations and dynamics.
The renewed market was launched on May 1, 2025, improving the way electricity is scheduled and priced across the province. These changes ensure that the IESO can continue to make the most cost-effective use of supply every hour of every day as the grid expands to meet growing demand and incorporate new technologies.
