Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP) - Historic Prices

This page is for historical purposes only. The Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP) retired on April 30, 2025, and was replaced with the Ontario Price.

In the IESO legacy market, the HOEP was the average of the twelve market clearing prices (MCP) set in each hour. Averages are weighted by the amount of electricity used throughout the province within each hour. Below is the average weighted hourly price for the current and previous year.
