IESO Board Market Rule Amendment Determinations

The IESO is offering a series of instructor-led virtual online training courses for individuals interested in gaining a deeper understanding of Ontario's electricity markets, market settlement processes, and electricity trading.
- Chapter 3 Market Rule Amendment Process Refresh and Revised Technical Panel Terms of Reference (MR-00492-R00): The amendments update the market rule amendment process specified in Chapter 3, section 4 of the market rules, with conforming updates to the Technical Panel Terms of Reference. The effective date for this amendment and the updates to the Terms of Reference is December 2.
- 2026 Capacity Auction Enhancements (MR-00493-R00): The amendments update the In-Period Cleared Unforced Capacity Adjustment Charge when a notice of disagreement is filed and revises the Emergency Activation Payment formula in limited circumstances. The effective date of this amendment is November 23.
