2026 Capacity Auction Qualification Window Now Open

The capacity qualification request submission window for the 2026 Capacity Auction is now open. Participants may submit and revise capacity qualification requests through the Online IESO platform for the resources they wish to offer into the auction, up until the submission deadline on September 25, 2026. Following the close of the submission window, the IESO will evaluate all qualification requests and determine a qualified capacity value (megawatts) and auction deposit amount for each resource. Participants who meet the capacity auction deposit requirements by the deposit deadline will be eligible to offer into the 2026 Capacity Auction in November, up to their qualified capacity.
