Technical Panel - Market Rule Amendment Determinations

The Technical Panel voted to recommend the following market rule amendments to the IESO Board of Directors for review:
- Updates to IESO Monitoring Requirements: Synchrophasor Data (MR-00487-R00): This proposal amends the market rules to extend the existing synchrophasor requirements for transmitters and generators to storage participants and will make other changes to these existing requirements.
- Updates to Contingency Event Definitions (MR-00491-R00): This proposal amends the market rules to align the defined terms for most severe single contingency and second most severe single contingency, with the defined terms used by the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
The Technical Panel also determined that market rule amendment submission MR-00492-Q00: Chapter 3 Market Rule Amendment Process Refresh warrants consideration. This submission proposes to update the market rule amendment process specified in Chapter 3, section 4 of the market rules.
