IESO to Introduce the 2025 Hydrogen Innovation Fund

The Hydrogen Innovation Fund (HIF) supports testing and demonstration of hydrogen technologies to evaluate how they can enhance Ontario’s electricity system reliability, affordability, and sustainability, as well as broader decarbonization efforts in heavy industry and transportation. The 2025 HIF will include two streams totalling $30 million in available funding. Stream 1 builds on HIF 2023, and a new Stream 2 will focus on broader sector decarbonization.
The IESO would like to invite you to a stakeholder engagement session on October 1 at 10:00 a.m. to learn more about the program streams, eligibility, and application requirements ahead of the expected application window opening November 4. The webinar presents an opportunity for interested organizations to ask questions and seek clarity on the fund.
