2023 Capacity Auction Qualification Window Now Open and Pre-Auction Report Published

The capacity qualification request submission window for the 2023 Capacity Auction is now open. The pre-auction report containing updated parameters such as the Reference Price, auction targets and zonal limits has been published to the IESO Reports Site.
Participants can submit and revise capacity qualification requests through the Online IESO platform for the resources that they wish to offer into the auction until September 29, 2023. Once the window closes, the IESO will evaluate the requests and determine a UCAP value based on each individual resource’s submitted installed capacity and availability de-rating factor, which can then be offered into the 2023 Capacity Auction this coming November.
