Indigenous Energy Support Programs Application Window Opens

Indigenous communities and organizations are playing a growing role in Ontario’s rapidly shifting electricity landscape. To build on these efforts, the IESO will launch the 2022 application window for its Indigenous Energy Support Programs (ESPs) on April 4.
Funding through the ESPs can be used to hire local energy champions, create and implement community energy plans, develop renewable generation, build skills and capacity, and enable Indigenous funding recipients to participate more fully in Ontario’s growing energy sector. Since their inception more than a decade ago, 170 Indigenous communities and organizations have received funding through the ESPs.
