IESO at The Association of Municipalities of Ontario Municipal Energy Symposium

March 24, 2022

Ontario’s electricity grid is changing and municipalities have an important role to play in this transition. This includes plans to secure new electricity resources, efforts to explore pathways to decarbonization, and innovative local projects that are helping communities achieve economic development and sustainability goals.

On Thursday, March 31, join the IESO’s Carla Y. Nell, VP of Corporate Relations, Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Municipal Energy Symposium as she discusses these trends. Following Carla’s remarks, Carolyn Calwell, Chief Corporate Services Officer and General Counsel at the Ontario Energy Board, will discuss the role of the Ontario energy regulator in facilitating innovation in the sector. The session will conclude with a panel discussion with Grid Innovation Fund proponents, moderated by Katherine Sparkes, the IESO’s Director of Innovation, Research and Development.

Event details including registration are available on the AMO website.
