Lesley Gallinger joins the IESO as President and CEO

The IESO welcomes its new President and CEO, Lesley Gallinger, who officially assumed the role on Tuesday, May 25.
“On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Lesley Gallinger to the IESO in the role of President and CEO,” said Joe Oliver, Chair. “Her leadership and experience will be instrumental as we move forward on key initiatives to ensure Ontario’s electricity system remains reliable and affordable.”
Prior to joining the IESO, Lesley served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Elexicon Energy, a large municipally-owned electricity distributor in Ontario, which she led through a merger integration. She has also held senior roles in the electricity sector that include Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at the Electrical Safety Authority as well as VP, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Oakville Hydro.
Over the coming months, Lesley will be connecting with stakeholders, communities and sector participants to better understand the needs of the system and discuss future growth and development of the sector. This includes meeting the province’s growing electricity needs this decade and enabling more resources to compete to meet those needs.
