Technical Panel appointments, call for nominations and materials now available

The Technical Panel (TP) will meet on September 15 from 10:00 to 11:25 a.m. to review draft rules for the Energy Storage Design Project and will vote on posting the six proposed rule amendments for broader stakeholder comment. Meeting materials are now available on the TP web page. To register as an observer, email engagement@ieso.ca.
Two new members have been appointed by the IESO Board to join the Technical Panel. Jennifer Jayapalan of Workbench Energy and Jason Chee-Aloy of Power Advisory LLC will represent the Energy Storage and the Renewable Generator communities respectively.
The Technical Panel is also seeking additional qualified candidates to fill the following five vacancies: Market Participant Consumers (2), Residential Consumers, Market Participant Generators and Energy Related Businesses & Services.
Members of the Technical Panel are appointed by the IESO Board and serve a three-year term with the opportunity to be reappointed for a second three-year term. The Technical Panel reviews amendments to the Market Rules and, as requested, provides advice to the IESO Board of Directors on technical issues relating to the operation of the IESO-administered markets.
If interested, candidates are asked to submit a letter of nomination, résumé and a signed Declaration of Nominee to engagement@ieso.ca by 5 p.m. on October 1.
