Agenda posted and registration open for the May stakeholder engagement meetings

The agenda for the May stakeholder engagement meetings, to be held online May 20 and 21, has been posted with more details about each agenda item to be provided over the coming weeks.

Day one will kick off with an overview from Terry Young, Vice President, Policy, Engagement and Innovation who will present the new framework and highlight linkages between the IESO’s various engagements, followed by an update on the electricity system impact of COVID-19. The afternoon sessions will focus on the Energy Storage Design Project: Long-term Design Proposals and Variable Generation Forecasting Tool.

Leonard Kula, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Planning, Acquisition and Operations, will launch the second day, touching on the various markets and operations engagements to take place throughout the day. Day two sessions include updates on the Market Renewal Program and the Energy Payments for Economic Activation of Demand Response Resources engagement, as well as the launch of new engagements for the Expanding Participation in Operating Reserve and Energy and the Transmission Rights Market Review.
