Update on Technical Panel determinations

The Technical Panel is requesting feedback on proposed market rule amendments to enable hourly demand-response market participants to receive compensation for out-of-market activations.
The amendments, posted on the proposed market rule amendment web page, are intended to enable hourly demand response resources to compete more effectively with other resources and promote competition within the market. Hourly demand response resources will be entitled to compensation when activated out-of-market for either testing or in response to emergency operating state control actions.
Comments on the proposal should be emailed to rule.amendments@ieso.ca by October 8. Feedback will be discussed at the October 23 meeting.
