September 19, 2019

While energy demand remains stable, and resources are ready and adequate for the next 18 months, outage coordination may face increasing pressure by summer 2020 as significant capital upgrades, most notably the Darlington Unit 2 refurbishment, coincide with routine maintenance.

This analysis aims to help market participants plan their outages, while drawing attention to considerations that could affect the reliability of Ontario’s electricity system.
