Planning update: East Lake Superior, Greater Bruce/Huron regions

August 15, 2019

Regional electricity planning for the East Lake Superior region is underway. The IESO has launched a new engagement initiative to ensure that communities and stakeholders are aware of the process and can provide opportunities for input.

A webinar is planned for August 27 at 10 a.m. to review the draft scoping assessment outcome report that identifies needs, areas requiring more comprehensive planning, and the approach to be undertaken. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback. The draft report and webinar materials will be posted in advance of the meeting. Registration is online.

The next round of planning for the Greater Bruce/Huron region is underway. Posted and ready for review and comment is the region’s draft Scoping Assessment Outcome Report and proposed Integrated Regional Resource Plan Terms of Reference. A webinar is scheduled for August 21 at 10 a.m. to review these documents and allow participants to ask questions and provide feedback. The presentation is now available and registration is online.

Any comments will be need to be submitted to engagement@ieso.ca by August 29.
