Changes to the IESO Conservation Fund application intake process

January 4, 2018

As a result of recommendations from stakeholder input, the IESO will be making changes to the Conservation Fund’s application intake process. Effective March 1, 2018, the Conservation Fund will no longer accept unsolicited applications on a continuous basis and move to set time windows for accepting unsolicited applications. Complete applications submitted by March 1, 2018 using the standard Project Overview Application template, available on the Conservation Fund webpages, will be processed according to the standard service timeline. The next window for unsolicited applications to the fund will be in July 2018.

Additionally, the IESO will increase the frequency of targeted calls for project proposals addressing specific identified challenges and opportunities. These calls for project proposals will be communicated on the Conservation Fund webpage, via the IESO Bulletin and through other channels. More information on targeted calls and the schedule of application windows for unsolicited applications will be forthcoming.

The IESO Conservation Fund has supported over 200 innovative Conservation and Demand Management projects since the fund’s establishment in 2005, shaping the incentive programs, training options, tools, and products available to Ontario customers today.

Questions about these changes can be directed to cfundapplications@ieso.ca.
