Interim Market Document Changes - Ontario Rebate for Electricity Consumers

The IESO has posted three Interim Market Document Changes (IMDC) for stakeholder comment related to the implementation of Ontario Regulation 363/16 Ontario Rebate for Electricity Consumers Act, 2016 (OREC). The two new charge types related to the OREC program are 9982 “Ontario Rebate for Electricity Consumers (8% Provincial Rebate) Settlement Amount” and 1467 “Ontario Rebate for Electricity Consumers (8% Provincial Rebate) Balancing Amount”.
Information related to the new charge types has been added to the following documents:
- IMDC – 33 - IESO Charge Types and Equations and Market Manual 5: Settlements Part 5.5: Physical Markets Settlement Statements
- IMDC – 34 - HST Guide for IESO Transactions
- IMDC – 35 - Format Specifications for Settlement Statement Files and Data Files
These IMDCs are available on the IESO’s Pending Changes - Documents. Stakeholders can submit comments on these IMDCs until January 20 by emailing pending.changes@ieso.ca.
