Are you ready for the changes to the current MPI for bid/offer submission?
April 7, 2016
In July, the current Market Participant Interface (MPI) will be replaced with the new Energy Market Interface (EMI). In preparation of this change, an important market trial will be conducted to allow all impacted market participants the opportunity to trial this new system. The IESO encourages all market participants who submit bids, offers or schedules in the MPI to register for this market trial in order to understand how the new EMI will impact the way in which bids and offers are submitted.
The EMI market trial will commence on April 25 and last approximately four weeks to provide enough time for participants to navigate through the new solution and provide comments and/or feedback that might require IESO support. Further details on the market trial itself (i.e. user manual, test plan, sandbox link, etc.) will be provided shortly and directly to those who register to participate.
The changes to the Application Interface (API) tool were trialed late last year. To review the trial results and the progress of the MPI/API Refresh initiative, please visit the IESO Engagement page.
Any additional questions and/or to register for the market trial, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
