IESO is updating its eDSM Cost-Effectiveness methodology with technical enhancements to better reflect the impacts of distributed energy resources (DERs) on the bulk electricity system. The IESO will share the update to its CE calculations through a public information session on June 16th 2026.
The IESO will present the new technical requirements for connecting large computational loads and share stakeholder feedback received along with the IESO’s responses and considerations addressing the feedback.
The IESO will present a revised market rule amendment to address the legacy requirement for the IESO Board to directly set certain technical market parameters. Following stakeholder feedback received in September 2025, the IESO has updated its proposal. The revised approach proposes to incorporate certain foundational market parameters into the market rules, while others will be maintained in the market manuals.
