Indigenous Nations are at the forefront of the energy transition, leading renewable energy projects, investing in infrastructure development and cultivating skills and competencies that contribute broadly to the energy sector. The annual First Nations Energy Symposium is a forum to continue the dialogue of Indigenous leadership in our shared energy future.

On Nov. 25-26, 2026, the IESO First Nations Energy Symposium is celebrating its 10th anniversary. This important gathering brings together First Nation leaders, community members and energy partners from across Ontario for two days of dialogue, knowledge sharing and cultural celebration.

Building on this year’s theme of A Decade of Leadership, Opportunity for Generations, the event will look beyond past achievements toward the long-term transformation still ahead. Through meaningful conversations and collaborative sessions, the Symposium will explore the evolving energy landscape and the role of Indigenous communities in driving and guiding our shared energy future.
