New Grid Connection Process Training Module Now Available

The IESO has launched a training module offering a practical overview of how organizations connect to the IESO-controlled grid. The course explains the required approvals and how timelines vary based on project scope and complexity.
The training module outlines the six-stage connection process, including:
- Differences between connecting to a transmitter’s system versus a distributor’s system
- Why some projects require all six stages while others only the first three
- Key actions needed at each stage to secure approval and begin commercial-operation.
To take this module, please contact customer.relations@ieso.ca. Include the following in your email:
- Organization name
- First and Last name
- Course name
- Email that you would like us to use for your eLearning account registration (preferably your work email address)
