Save on Energy Peak Performance Program Launched

Beginning this summer, commercial and institutional organizations across Ontario will have an additional way of managing their electricity costs through the IESO’s new Save on Energy Peak Performance program.
The Peak Performance program is a flexible demand response program that provides incentives to offices, retailers and health care and post-secondary facilities to curtail their heating, ventilation and air conditioning use on hot days when the system needs it the most – between June 1 and Sept. 30 each year. The program is an additional tool the IESO can leverage to reduce peak demand and support system reliability.
