Compliance with Dispatch Instructions for Dispatchable Generators

April 5, 2006

The IESO has released this interpretation bulletin in response to market participant requests for clarification on the issue of compliance with dispatch instructions for dispatchable generators.

Interpretation bulletin IMO_MKRI_0001 has been changed to reflect the following:

- The increase in compliance deadband for dispatchable generation facilities greater than 30MW from +/-10MW to +/-15MW
- The clarification of the requirement for market participants to follow IESO's directions to operate as closely to their dispatch as possible when required for reliability
- The removal of the clause regarding the expectation of dispatchable generation facilities to begin moving in the direction of their dispatch instruction for each dispatch interval
- All examples previously contained in this document will be incorporated into training materials.

This interpretation bulletin can be viewed on the IESO Change Notification Listing at: http://www.ieso.ca/imowebpub/200604/IMO_MKRI_0001_draft_BL15_1.pdf.  Comments should be directed to pending.changes@ieso.ca
