Stakeholder Engagement for Demand Response Reliability Plan
October 20, 2005
The creation of a new demand response reliability program is being considered as a way of addressing measures to enhance the reliability of the power system in advance of the summer 2006. For more details, please see the Stakeholder Engagement Plan at: http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/consult/consult_drrp.asp
The first phase of stakeholder engagement will involve holding a working group session with representatives from a cross section of electricity consumers. The intention is to obtain a balanced representation of electricity consumers including current market participants, embedded non-market participants and energy services companies. The purpose of the working group is to ensure the IESO has a full and complete understanding of the barriers to participation in a demand response reliability program and potential measures that might increase participation.
Our expectation from each member is active participation in the working group to provide us with the barriers and experiences they have in demand response. A working group meeting is tentatively planned for November 3rd in the Toronto area.
All those interested in participating in this working group are asked to submit an email to the IESO at stakeholder.engagement@ieso.ca by October 25, 2005. Please refer to Stakeholder Engagement Plan #8 in your reply.
