The five planning regions in the GTA and Central Ontario area includes all of the Greater Toronto Area, stretches north to Parry Sound/Muskoka, and roughly spans the area from Meaford to Minden.
Community engagement is an important part of the regional planning process, and sometimes includes the development of a Local Advisory Committee (LAC).
A LAC has up to 18 members, representing municipalities, First Nation and Métis communities, consumers and citizens, the business community, and environmental and conservation groups.
