January 23 Technical Panel agenda now available

The Agenda for the January 23 Technical Panel meeting is now posted on the Technical Panel webpage. The meeting is being held in downtown Toronto from 9:00 am to approximately 11:00 am and is open to the public. Observers are invited to send an email to engagement@ieso.ca indicating whether attendance in person or via teleconference is preferred.
At the meeting, Technical Panel members will review three proposed rule amendments to determine whether they are ready to be posted for broader stakeholder comment. The proposed rule amendments relate to the deletion of reference to regulated settlement (including the Rural and Remote settlement and the Debt Retirement Charge), to add clarity with the rules for station service obligations and enabling system flexibility in the thirty minute operating reserve market. Materials for these items as well as the results of the 2017 Technical Panel Self-Assessment Survey will be posted next week.
The IESO Technical Panel proposes and reviews amendments to the Market Rules, and as requested, advises the Board of Directors on specific technical issues relating to the operation of the IESO-administered markets. Visit the Technical Panel webpage for more information.
